About this mission
Our May 2024 mission to Beijing brought a delegation of West London manufacturers, technology firms and clean-growth businesses into direct contact with Chinese partners across the capital. The week combined official meetings at the Department for Business and Trade office, sector roundtables on advanced manufacturing and consumer technology, and site visits to Zhongguancun and leading Tier-1 suppliers. Delegates participated in a UK–China business dinner hosted with the British Chamber of Commerce in China, and joined tailored one-to-one meetings arranged in advance by our in-market team. Outcomes included three supplier introductions progressing to contract stage and two follow-on visits later in the year.
